Dear Beacon Heights Church Community,
Warm greetings in this cool Spring stretch. As many of you may be aware, effective tomorrow, May 8, Governor Eric Holcomb is permitting faith communities to reopen, without restrictions. HOWEVER, upon consultation with the Executive Committee and church staff, as well as Dr. Brian Zehr, Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren will not reopen to internal activities and external groups at the church building at this time. All virtual offerings, connection groups, commission work, staff work, and the current Food Bank format will continue as they have been the past two months.
Church leadership will evaluate the status of the church's reopening again at the end of May, and in each subsequent month as needed, until we feel that the local situation is more predictable and we have prepared ourselves and the church building with new protocols and equipment to safely reopen.
It is difficult not being together at the church building. We have missed seeing all of you and connecting with you in person. That day will come again, and when it does, we hope and pray it will be a day of celebration and joyous re-connection with one another.
Until that day....
With warm blessings,
Pastors Brian and Amy
