Theme & Title: You(r) people shall be my people.
1st Sunday of Stewardship series

We turn to Ruth for poetic example-setting as we step into Stewardship season. Her speech to Naomi is often used for weddings (in one translation): Whither thou goest I will go, whither thou lodgest I will lodge, thy people shall be my people….” Ruth’s covenant to Naomi includes joining Naomi’s people. We say the same to one another as a faith community: you people will be my people! What does our covenant to one another look like as church and culture are rapidly changing? Whether it’s marriage, family or friendship, we know commitment is hard - but committing to one another also can be freeing!

Please read Ruth 1 to prepare.

Meet & Eat

Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

The greatest commandment, said Jesus (quoting the scriptures) is to love God with our whole selves; second is to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. "And who is my neighbor?" Someone asked Jesus. So Jesus told a story - one we often hear today when people go out of their way to help a stranger we call them a Good Samaritan.

This fall as we Meet and Eat at 9:30 on Sunday mornings, we're asking "who are our neighbors?" We're learning about the Francis Slocum and 46805 neighborhoods. We're remembering our neighbors across the world, including our partner church Misión Cristiana. As we seek to meet and be like Jesus in the Neighborhood, we gather with treats and each other to learn and to listen. This Sunday, we'll hear from those who live in the '05.

Camp Mack is in the process of renovating Ulrich House!
