Brian Flory, pastor

Pastor Brian has served the Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren for several years and is blessed to be a part of such a vibrant Christian community. Brian oversees the worship, caregiving, and administrative ministries at Beacon Heights. He has a strong passion for connecting this amazing congregation with people in the Fort Wayne vicinity who are looking for a healing, supportive and welcoming place to continue their journeys of faith. Brian previously spent 8-plus years as pastor of a church in Ambler, Pennsylvania, a northern Philadelphia suburb and brought his love of Philadelphia Phillies baseball with him to Indiana. He is married to Kimberly and together they enjoy traveling, biking, finding fun events in the area, cooking locally-grown foods, and raising their wonderful and spirited daughter, Maya.


Melody Tyree, music director

Melody is the very talented singer/pianist for the Beacon Heights music program. She coordinates and leads the choir, solo performances, hand bell choir, and the more contemporary musical selections. Her passion for music comes through in her creative, musical spirit, melding traditional hymns with modern expressions of faith through song. Melody enjoys spending quality time with her three young adult daughters.

 
 

Anna Harpe, Director of Christian education

Anna works with the children and youth at Beacon Heights, coordinating Sunday School and planning monthly activities for each age group. She has a passion for encouraging creativity and literacy in children, two loves that come together in her favorite hobby: reviewing beautiful children's books for @kidlitcrafts .

Melinda Long, office manager

Melinda is a relative newcomer to Fort Wayne, with a love for learning and a taste for adventures of all sizes.  She has an associates' degree in fish & wildlife management and a bachelors' degree in general studies.  Melinda engages in diverse personal interests such as quilting and spinning, reading, making music, and an interest in living history.  She and her son Riley also enjoy all manner of hiking, camping, paddling, outdoor adventures, and travel.
